The first closed alpha for the upcoming Doom reboot is being held this weekend.
In order to get into the closed alpha you will need to have purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order before May 26, 2014, and signed up on the Doom website.
This first closed alpha test will only include one mode - 6 vs 6 team deathmatch - and one map - Heatwave. There will also only be six standard weapons and one power weapon to test out, although the first player to the Demon Rune will transform into a Revenant creature and will get dual rocket launchers and a jetpack.
Doom releases for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next year.
