The Fallout 4 glitch where you could get infinite caps has been fixed on all platforms in the latest patch, according to users on GameFAQs.
The fixing of this bug was not listed in the patch notes for the game's first update.
Back when the bug worked you were able to sell your ammo to a vendor, however you would never run out of ammo and could keep selling it until you cleared out the vendor. You could then move onto the next vendor and repeat the process.
