Boy, I remember when I first played Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, it was very fun for me to slice and dice various monsters, including monsters who resembled death- I really enjoyed killing death`s minions I tought maybe somewhere Death itself awaits me to deliver the final blow... It was a game with great mechanics- remember the playstyles? I actually think that royal guard sucked big time and swordmaster is the best but it`s just me and a bunch of gamers out there. DMC seems more dramatic, more mature, eve though Dante looks like an emo and a lot of my friends complained about this thing but in my opinion he looks cool. It`s a new way of picturing the series, I think this reboot is well delivered. What I like the most, besides the eye candy and developer`s sense for environmental detalis is the weapon changing system which allows players to link combos at an insane speed and variety. I mean rebellion and osiris rock big time and don`t forget the massive blow of the giant axe ( can`t remember the name right now). I didn`t finish the game yet but the story seems a bit laggish, a lot of walking in and out levels and a lot of mistery regarding the girl which Virgil protects. Well mistery isn`t that bad so I really expect something more fascinating from the story than the theme of demons vs angels struggle...
