Sony has announced that a Ratchet & Clank movie will be releasing in 2015. The film is currently in production and will quite obviously be CG-animated. Blockade Entertainment along with Rainmaker Entertainment will be working on the film.
The encouraging news is that Insomniac will be "playing a hands-on role with the film's production, screenplay, character development, and animation consulting.” Vetran Ratchet & Clank writer, T.J. Fixman, who has written all of the recent Ratchet & Clank games, will be writing the script.
More information will eventually be announced at the official movie website. Also announced was a direct-to-home Heavenly Sword film.
