Tekken tag Tournament 2 is the second installment in the tag Tournament series. There is no set story line other than the fact that all the greatest fighters have come together to compete in the World Tag Tournament. Each character has their own story that affiliates with the reason as to why they are there or what they do afterwards.
Game play is pretty solid in this game. You have the basic button combo layout for your characters attacks and moves. Every character has their own form of fighting (Boxing, Jujitsu, Martial Arts, etc). The downside to this game, however, is that you must learn a variety of button combos for each character. The Wii U is an exception, however; due to the capabilities of the game pad, you can set three combos to be set on the touch screen. You can then tap that combo to execute it.
Visually, the game is magnificent. When i first got this game for the Wii U, i expected it to look a bit rough due to the reviews that say so; i was dead wrong. In the opening scene, where all the fighters are assembling and such, I was absolutely astonished at how detailed, vibrant, and smooth the game was. Just the opening movie itself caused me to say "Holy shi* this game is beautiful".
Mulitplayer wise, the game can get very frustrating. Since this is a 2D fighter game, you can go online and face other people. The frustrating part would be that other players over use the ability of instant combos. In other words, most players spam the hell out of their characters best moves.
Amazing details, vibrant environments and levels, great gameplay, awesome voice acting, frustrating multiplayer.
