In a surprise move, Nintendo have decided today was the best day to release the classic RPG Earthbound for the Wii U eShop. The game is out in America for $9.99, and in Europe for £6.99. What is unusual is that, despite fans begging for the game to be released in the Wii Virtual Console years ago, it eventually releases with little to no fanfare.
The game was never released here in the UK, and as such I downloaded it straight away to see what all the fuss was about. It's exactly as I expected it to be (quirky, challenging and fun), so I urge anyone who is on the fence to download the game immediately. It's finally here.
