Level-5 has announced a new game in the Layton series, named Layton 7, for the 3DS, iOS and Android platforms. Despite the naming similarity, Layton 7 does not show much resemblance to the first six titles, instead looking like an old-school, isometrically viewed RPG. Level 5 described the game as a "role play puzzle", but did not offer many other details.
The company did show a brief demonstration of the game on mobile devices, which is where the screenshot originates from.
