It’s that time of the year where family and friends gather together to eat turkey and beets, to replenish their energy for the pillaging and raiding of stores and outlets on one dark Friday morning. Instead of pulling on the hair of middle aged mothers, or knocking down children to grab the last Elmo doll, Valve has given us another option. An option where violence (and potential child endangerment) is not necessary and where the stocks of the hottest marked down items will never run dry. Yes, another Steam Sale is on us once again, so rejoice one and all.
Lord Gaben feels pity for us peasants so he has bequeathed to us the Autumn Sale 2013 on Steam. This sale will run from November 27th to December 3rd and, like the usual major sales (Winter and Summer), has both daily deals and flash sales. This sale includes games/DLC from both the indie market and more mainstream games. Some notable games that are currently under $5 include: Portal, Portal 2, Terraria, Sleeping Dogs, Limbo, The Witcher, Lilly Looking Through, Faster Than Light, and Fallout: New Vegas.
Also, the newly-opened Humble Bundle Store is currently running a sale. While offering a much smaller selection of titles, the HBS includes a few games that are cheaper than their Steam sale counterparts.
So, instead of dealing with the madness of Black Friday, give your loved ones a gift from either of these sales, and the gift of knowing that you didn’t give someone a black eye while securing a present.
