Rumour: Borderlands 2 Prequel Coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC

Rumours are starting to land that Borderlands 2 will be receiving a prequel, obviously putting the game's setting in between Borderlands 1 and 2.

Athena The Gladiator, Wilhelm The Enforcer, Nisha The Lawbringer and Fragtrap -- which is a ClapTrap, all we've ever wanted! These are Handsome Jack's lieutenants. Obviously, with this being a prequel, Jack will be younger, so we'll see him trying to make a name for himself while he hunts down alien artefacts.

You may notice a couple of those names are familiar. Athena is from the General Knoxx DLC for the original Borderlands, and Wilhelm is a boss from Borderlands 2.

The game will apparently be set on Pandora's moon Elpis, which has low gravity, so it seems that we'll see a use of jet packs and oxygen will be lootable and hugely important to survival.

We can't confirm this, and GamePointsNow who are the original source of the rumour give no source for their findings. They do say that we'll probably hear something official soon though.
