Ubisoft has announced that they are targeting a fall 2014 release date for the Wii U version of their upcoming open world title, Watch Dogs.
Nintendo Enthusiast discovered that the North American U-Play store listed fall 2014 as the slated release date for the Wii U version of the game. A Ubisoft representative officially commented on this news through Nintendo Enthusiast, stating that they are indeed targeting a fall 2014 release date.
Since Ubisoft announced the release date of Watch Dogs on all five other platforms, the Wii U release date has remained unconfirmed. Ubisoft stated the delay was to allow the developers to explore the potential of the gamepad.
Watch Dogs is launching May 27 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with the Wii U version following in fall 2014.
