Project Cars Delayed Until Next Year

Upcoming racing sim Project Cars has officially been delayed, distributor Bandai Namco confirmed earlier today. The delay will push the game's release back until March 2015.

Slightly Mad Studios' Project Cars was expected to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC this November, with a Steam OS and Wii U version expected in 2015. The Steam OS and Wii U versions still have no confirmed release dates but the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC versions will now release March 17, 2015 in the States and March 20, 2015 in the UK.

Slightly Mad's Ian Bell said the following in a statement released earlier today:

"Whilst a tough decision to make, the change in release date allows the game the greatest chance of success and visibility, and the opportunity to polish the game even further to the high standards that both ourselves and our community demand and expect. We’re eager for you all to see what we’ve been working on in just a few months."
