When it releases on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month (and PC in January), Grand Theft Auto V will include a first person mode.
IGN have a very positive preview up for the first person mode, which GTA V Animation Director Rob Nelson describes as being a "very intense, in-your-face experience... we felt like one of the most compelling things you could do to make an experience people have had before feel different was the new first-person mode."
Although it's always been on the table, a first person mode has only now been possible due to lack of development time and power on previous gen console platforms. That's all changed, obviously, since the release of a new generation of hardware.
