Controversial serial killer game Hatred was removed from Steam Greenlight yesterday, but today it has returned, along with an apology from Gabe Newell for its initial removal.
The apology, posted on Destructive Creations' Facebook page (larger version here), states that Steam is "about creating tools for content creators and customers" and that the game's removal from Greenlight yesterday was "not a good decision".
Hatred sees players take control of a mass murderer, and has provoked mixed reactions, with some in the industry criticizing the fetishization of murder without purpose.
