Monica is a princess who comes from the future to the present time to avenge her father's death, suffered at the hands of her arch-nemesis Gaspard, who serves as servant to Emperor Griffin. Throughout her journey she encounters Maximillian and they both work together to rebuild the present in order to save the future from destruction by Emperor Griffin.
She specializes in both swordsmanship and magic, and carries with her a blue atlamillia that allows her to trave from the future to the present. She also has the ability to change into monsters utilizing special badges which can be collected throughout the different dungeons and at specialty shops.
