I always read reviews before going to buy a game. Been disappointed by too many in the past.

Yeah it has universally bad reviews across the board

I know right? What a waste of such an amazing IP! Instead of making games about the marines they should go back to the first ALIEN film and make a creepy ass horror game. Now I'd buy THAT.

I don't know if I'd say it's terrible but it's a little disappointing, especially from Gearbox. It has plenty of issues and the Aliens make for less than impressive enemies. However, despite the lack of graphical attention (it looks somewhere between Halo 1 and Halo 2 on consoles), the atmosphere is pretty right on. The environments and sounds capture that Alien feel. I think that the unfortunate part is that for real fans of the franchise (of which I would not proclaim to be), this probably just highlights all the flaws that are holding it back.

Personally, it's a let down for me because I was really hoping to get pulled into Aliens. I've never been a huge fan of survival horror in movies but I absolutely love it in games.

My guys at gaming capacity says it was bad as well.

Is it as horrible as reviews suggest? ^^

We keep our achievements and our cheats on separate pages and don't mix them. Unfortunately, shy of the aforementioned trainers, there are very few cheats out there these days. To big publishers and developers, they make it either something you can unlock by performing a certain feat (thus prolonging the game) or make you pay for it to download it. It's just another way of making money to them and as long as that's the case, we're not going to have much in the way of cheat codes...

Im sure that CheatHappens will release a trainer for it. They are usually on top of those things.

I'm going with great! Saw a bunch of videos and it's getting really great ratings/reviews. So maybe for once a Alien game will be kick ass.

Gearbox Software always make good solid games. They never disappointed me so far. Halo (Co Develop), Half Life, Brothers In Arms series and recently Borderlands series,, that's an amazing track record.

I agree. But it's getting really great reviews and the trailers look like really really good. So we will see. A great FPS killing Aliens. Hell yeah!
And i really like the different elements that i has from the actual Aliens movies..

I'm not sure about this one - has slipped under the radar with all of the rest of the great games coming out
